Engineer (Fire Products)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and evaluation on fire related products to ensure compliance to Singapore and / or international standards
• Design and set-up text fixtures for customized test procedures
• Review test standards and procedures for testing
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
• Maintain and upkeep test facilities and laboratory equipment

Key Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering with minimum 2 years of relevant technical working experience
• Candidates without prior relevant experience are welcome.
• Prior testing experience, especially in the areas of fire engineering, will be an added advantage
• Abilitiy to communicate in Mandarin is advantageous due to regular interactions with Mandarin speaking customers
• Knowledge and experience in Quality Management System, ISO 17025 accreditation and / or internal audit exposure will be an added advantage
• Result and service-oriented individual who possesses initiative and good communication skills
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
• Enthusiastic and resourceful with a "can-do" attitude
