Job Description

  • Support the Biomedical Engineering Manager for the new NCCS for compliance, sourcing and coordination with end user to ensure FF&E planning are in accordance to the requirements of the MOH approval budget and project timescale
  • Conducts ITQs, RFPs, and quotation analysis for medical equipment; identify, formulate and execute on cost reduction. Carry out commissioning, troubleshooting of biomedical equipment and systems to verify cyber-security compliance, patient safety and system performance against manufacturer's specifications
  • Assist to develop and maintain a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management
  • Support Procurement & BME to seek value for money for all FF&E items, including relationship and performance management of suppliers
  • Meet given time-line to ensure all FF&E items is met for operation needs
  • Record and track expenditure expenses to keep abreast of MOH approved funding claim legislation policy activity
  • Participates in equipment sourcing strategies evaluation
  • Prepare equipment list, budget and manpower plan to ensure timely execution of work and high quality installation of equipment
  • Maintain proper filing systems according to ISO standard and ensure proper documentation for all variation orders and others
  • Manage the updating of NCCS BME Medical Asset listing to ensure all records can be tracked for its purchase/commissioning value, date and its compliance with cyber-security requirements, etc.
  • Provide administrative support, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders encompassing managing documentation plus any ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree holder in Biomedical Engineering / Construction Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 6 years’ experience for Diploma holder and 3 years’ experience for Degree holder desired
  • Ability to interpret specifications and layouts /construction drawings
  • Ability to understand and interpret equipment/system specifications and layouts
  • Good knowledge of site work requirements when installation is concerned and its progressive time necessary to complete the site preparation and installation
  • Good knowledge of IEC/EN medical electrical standards and safety requirements
  • Good understanding of design relating to system composition, furniture, fixtures and equipment
