Job Description

The incumbent is responsible to ensure all special process works are performed in accordance to specified standards.  The incumbent will undertake any or all of the following and has authority to:  

  • Oversee and prioritize special process processes (phosphating, torque-up, tube swaging, yard operations, final prep operations, heat treatment and forklift work) in production area and draw up work schedules
  • Ensure implementation of HSSE procedures and guidelines are followed
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs including responding to corrective action request
  • Work out material resources required and ensure that special processes are cost effective 
  • Develop and track improvement in reduction of planned downtime hours
  • Supervise and expedite the handling of third-party pipes 
  • Responsible for work that includes sorting, marking, lifting and stacking, for both incoming and outgoing material
  • Create Customer Property (CP) identification numbers in a timely manner before the customer parts are issued for use in work orders
  • Oversee the packing plan, packing, marking and pickup of packed products (or loose products in the case of large diameter tubular) needed for OMS product shipments
  • Implement marking and identification processes for the marking of production tubular and accessories, and final prep operations, as required, prior to dispatch at the weld line
  • Implement cost-effective and efficient packing processes for all outgoing materials
  • Prepare gate passes for subcontract work, monitor and expedite dispatch and pick up of subcontract items
  • Expedite all work in the outgoing processes as appropriate according to customer want dates
  • Make arrangements for the delivery and collection of materials with customers and vendors
  • Upload all Delivery Orders (DO’s) into the Pure Manufacturing system on a daily basis
  • Check, review and close all Work Orders (WOs), Customer Properties (CPs), and gate passes in a timely manner
  • Work with Maintenance to implement systems of preventive maintenance of equipment and machines 
  • Ensure planned KPIs for efficiency and performance are met or exceeded 
  • Supervise and train new employees in all required procedures, work instructions, checklists and HSSE requirements 
  • Ensure technicians perform power tight swaging, phosphating pressure testing and stress relief 
  • Ensure staff are systematically trained for various tasks through on-the-job or via external training courses  
  • Maintain proper housekeeping in the shop floor and the yard
  • Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, security and environmental regulations 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities
