Technical Officer, Rolling Stock

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Senior Technician / Technicians to undertake overhaul and repair of trains and train equipment in a safe and effective way to minimize equipment downtime and improve train serviceability and reliability
• Supervises the overhaul maintenance team to carry out overhaul and repair of the Trains and train equipment in accordance with specified standard for the DTL system
• Ensure the correct tools, mechanical handling and test equipment are adequately provided for the preventive maintenance and repair activities
• Develop Overhaul Training materials and conduct training for the Technicians
• Undertakes modification works which required workshop equipment
• Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations
• Manage safety proactively in the section by analysis of tasks, development of procedures and control and conduct regular audit to see that procedures are being followed
• Develop procedures and work instruction for safe operation of workshop activities
• Report Safety hazard and near miss incident

Requirements

• Diploma / ITC in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic) with minimum 2 years of working experience
• Familiar with the workshop maintenance activities
• Familiar with Train overhaul requirement
• Hand-on experience in the commissioning and testing of equipment
• Possess good planning and prioritizing skills
• Good interpersonal, management and communication skills
• Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and is capable of motivating teammates
• Have good initiative, able to work well independently in demanding situations
