Job Description


You will be part of a dynamic team tasked to build a world-class financial sector workforce with a strong local core. You will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the national priority of jobs and skills for our people, and contextualising it to the financial sector to develop and execute meaningful strategies. This include developing job ready graduates, building specialist skillsets, grooming local leaders, and fostering workforce transformation. Even as we focus our efforts on enhancing the competitiveness of our local workforce, we continue to develop creative strategies to attract foreign expertise with complementary skillsets and networks to build new businesses and capabilities to further the development of Singapore as an international financial centre, which will in turn create good jobs for our people.

Our work is driven by data to shape policies and design programmes, and executed through close collaboration with tripartite partners, including the industry, other government agencies and the labour movement.

As a member of the Data and Global Talent team, you will be responsible for performing data interpretation and analysis to identify manpower trends and be involved in formulation of policies and programmes to strengthen the Singaporean core in the financial sector. You will also have the opportunity to work with both internal and external stakeholders on safeguarding Singapore’s attractiveness for global talent to build new capabilities and anchor new businesses in the financial services industry.


  • At least 3 to 4 years of working experience preferred

  • Background in data analytics, economics, statistics, or related disciplines preferred

  • Strong public service spirit and effective team player

  • Strong analytical and policy thinking skills with good understanding of macroeconomic and financial issues

  • Possess strong skills in data processing and visualisation applications (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Excel). Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel VBA is an advantage.

  • Familiarity in programming languages for data analytics (e.g. R, Python) is preferred

  • Good communication skills
