[MAS] Deputy Director / Assistant Director, Data Connectivity

You will help to develop and articulate MAS' stance on data connectivity and advocate cross border data transfers by financial institutions to strengthen our financial sector development. You will form strategies for data connectivity, and actively contribute towards bilateral and international development initiatives.
In this role, you will formulate policies and drive MAS’ data connectivity efforts to strengthen the long-term competitiveness and develop Singapore as a leading digital finance centre. This includes:
• Monitor global developments on data policies and data connectivity solutions, with a view to building new initiatives including international trade agreements that will accelerate Singapore’s data connectivity in financial services.
• Contribute to MAS’ thought leadership on data connectivity regionally and globally.
• Develop a robust and conducive market environment to support sustainable growth of the financial services industry in Singapore through cross-border data connectivity agreements and initiatives.
You will need to collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders, relevant government agencies, industry members and institutes of learning. As part of the Payments Development and Data Connectivity Office, you will also have the opportunity to work on payments development initiatives where they intersect with data connectivity.
Relevant experience in international trade agreements work will be an advantage.
Team player with good networking skills and excellent organisational skills.
Strong analytical competence with the capacity to synthesize value from rapidly-changing and diverse sources
Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
Keen interest in data connectivity issues.
