The Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled software engineer with a love for solving business problems evolving around data, ML, analytics. The successful candidate will be part of a Trading platform team building an innovative and high-performance algo and big data solution.
This is a rare opportunity for a self-driven, start-up minded, strong and passionate engineer to participate and contribute to a paradigm shift in the financial sector. We want people driven by the mission!
You will be responsible for the delivery of data analytics solutions to production working with technologists, quants and data scientists.
Develop data processing pipelines for ingestion, modelling, analysis, mining and reporting.
Our Ideal Candidate
Strong Python programming skills.
Strong Java programming skills. Nice to have Haskell.
Over all 4+ yrs of experience in which at least 3 years building big data solutions, distributed computation, real-time fast computation / stream processing for a finTech or Financial company.
Msc / PHD in a quantitative topic, Bachelors in any discipline can also be considered.
Proven experience (at least 3 years) building solutions using spark, Tensorflow, no-SQL (mongo), SQL DBs (oracle db).
Experienced in deploying analytics models in production using established devops pipelines (bitbucket, ansible, use of VMs, AWS..).
Others desirable skills/knowledge and traits
Passionate about data-driven solutions.
Familiar with financial markets, e.g. Bonds.
Think data to enable the business
Ability to think “Product/platform” with a strong alignment with expected business outcomes/journeys
Ability to scope minimum viable functionalities for quick and iterative/incremental deliveries – this is a must for the candidate
knowledge of functional programming (Haskell).
Exceptional Communication Skills
Able to be self-driven in one’s work,
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good team spirit
