Job Description

Established in 1936, Bank of China Singapore Branch holds the Qualifying Full Bank License (QFB) in Singapore. It has a network with over 20 financial touch points, including 12 sub-branches and 9 self-service banking outlets, and at the same time providing banking services at over 130 automated teller machines through the atm5 network island wide. Leveraging on the Group's extensive global network and local expertise, BOCSG provides clients with a full suite of banking services, including corporate banking, personal banking, financial market, investment banking, Foreign Exchange & Derivatives Unit and Wealth Management & Private Banking Unit.

We are now looking for bright and outstanding talents with 0-1 years of experience to contribute to our business growth. If you are intelligent, committed and dynamic with a positive learning attitude and mindset to develop a banking career, we have the following positions available for you:

(A) Analyst / Specialist (Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree and above)

1. Corporate Banking and Financial Market

You will be trained as a potential candidate of Relationship Manager by senior members in the team, from executing credit proposals and transactions, providing timely services on credit rating, grading and post lending, to maintaining and developing non-borrowing corporate customers.

Candidates who are keen in the Financial Market will have the opportunity to be trained as a potential candidate of Trader. You will have the opportunity to acquire skills in FX/interest rate trading for clients, market making trading for futures contract, liquidity and money market trading and fixed income sales. A basic understanding of financial market and trading instruments and CFA qualification will be an added advantage.

2. Retail Banking

You will be trained as a Relationship Manager to be eventually able to independently develop and manage customer relationships, recommending appropriate financial solutions based on their financial needs, and meeting the relevant total revenue target.

You will be arranged to obtain the mandatory professional certificates (e.g. CMFAS papers) to prepare you for performing this role.

3. Banking Specialist

We aim to nurture a group of skilled and trusted banking specialists in the respective areas of expertise. Subject to the interview and assessment outcome, you may be groomed in the area of and assigned to work on duties related to business strategy & planning, risk management, internal control & compliance, operations, financial management, data analysis, IT systems or administrative management.


- Bachelor’s degree holders and above, who aspire and are excited to build their career as a specialized banking professional.

- 0-1 year of working experience.

- Analytical, diligent, meticulous, independent and possess good interpersonal and customer service skills.

- A good team player with eagerness to learn and openness to widen his career horizon in breadth and depth.

- Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese to communicate with our Chinese-speaking customers and counterparts.

(B) Banking Support (Requirement: Diploma holders and above)

You will be tasked to handle seemingly elementary but pivotal job functions that enable the Branch’s daily operation running at its optimal level. Valuable training and experience will be offered to you in the course of your work that will open the door to more specialized opportunities in the future. Subject to the interview and assessment outcome, under the guidance of experienced specialists you may be performing duties such as operations, customer service or IT support.


- Diploma holders and above with 0-1 year of working experience.

- A keen and fast learner with a proactive and “can-do" attitude to overcome work related challenges.

- Willingness to work hard and diligently to meet tight deadlines.

- Possesses good personal skills and strong customer service awareness.

Classroom and e-learning training would be provided as part of your overall learning and career development. Your learning progress and performance will be regularly evaluated, and the results will be used to assess your overall job fit.
