The Role Responsibilities
Manage programme office activities and deliverables across multiple projects/programmes within the Regulatory Technology space.
Responsible for preparation of programme materials for various senior programme management committees, risk committees, and for the preparation of regulatory updates.
Ensure that clear and accurate status reporting is being provided to governance committees
Orchestrate/Facilitate decision making processes between senior stakeholders, as required
Work with, and provide challenge to, project managers covering delivery across multiple teams. Ensure that project and programme delivery is following expected schedule/plan. Manage and track delivery milestones in a structured fashion, providing governance visibility.
Manage and resolve dependencies between multiple project streams, with appropriate escalation as required. Coordinate cross-stream delivery issues to resolution.
Ensure project priorities, as defined through the respective project and programme governance committees, are followed.
Track budgets within defined thresholds for multiple projects/programmes. Coordinate construction of annual budget requests.
Build a strong and effective relationship with the key stakeholders in areas including Financial Markets, COO, Compliance & Technology teams.
Manage all RAID and change requests in a structured fashion, providing governance visibility.
Ensure consistent quality control and standards across all programme mandatory artefacts. Ensure projects respect internal policies and frameworks, and also the overarching programme governance standards. Set the project ready to pass internal audits
Mentor and support other more junior members of the team.
Our Ideal Candidate
Senior Project/Programme Manager with 10+ years experience including both Financial Markets and Technology projects. Experience delivering programmes with multiple technology teams and a matrix of responsibilities.
10+ years experience working in a Financial Markets technology or project environment, facing senior FM stakeholders.
At least 5 years experience working in project leadership roles for regulatory technology programmes.
Solid Financial Markets knowledge, encompassing detailed product and trade life cycle knowledge.
Very strong and detailed knowledge of major European, US and other international regulatory regimes impacting Financial Markets is essential
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to bring consensus and drive solutions and decisions.
Ability to work, prioritise and deliver under pressure. Flexible and adaptable to work in a global team environment over multiple timezones.
Self-starter, delivery oriented with a “Can do” attitude. Able to navigate through the bank’s organisational structure, remove blockers and deliver solutions
High level of multicultural awareness, personal authority, integrity, and ethics
Strong knowledge of project financial reporting.
Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies
Preferred Qualifications in a market best practice project methodology (PMP, PRINCE 2 etc)
