Head, IT Infrastructure & Operations

Summary of Job Role

To ensure that the data centre, IT network and servers are provisioned correctly to provide the right level of throughput/performance, uptime, robustness and availability based on the importance and criticality of the applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in the development, implementation and support of a secured, robust and resilient IT computing infrastructure for the organization
• Develop, implement and observe operational metrics, standards, procedures, best practices, service level agreement and business processes, based on best practice like Information      Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• Collaborate closely with other teams from solution architect, application services and info-security to develop technical solutions and facilitate enterprise architecture initiatives
• Provide overall technical and managerial leadership to the team members
• Participate and where necessary lead in the planning, development and implementation of business continuity plan for all environments, particularly production
• Ensure that infrastructure and systems are constantly monitored and/or maintained to provide the highest level of availability with a satisfactory performance to the business
• Conduct regular capacity planning to ensure timely acquisition of IT resources for systems and it      should be based on their tier of importance
• Maintain an acceptable level of service level agreements with users
• Collate and analyze the incidents from Help Desk and communicate back to the rest of the      departments for their follow-up and improvements to their support
• Maintain a strong understanding of appropriate industry standards and communicate to the rest of the delivery team
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, manage the relationships and ensure contractual compliance

Job Requirements

University degree in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering, with minimum 10 years of relevant work experience

• At least 10 years of experience in leading IT infrastructure and operations team for a mid to large-sized organization
• Hands on experience in implementing and managing on-premises virtualization platforms, SAN      storages, backup solutions, systems operations and data center operations
• Experience in architecting and managing network infrastructure and operations
• Experience in leading the IT helpdesk and EUC operations
• Good technical knowledge in IT infrastructure security management
• Deep understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and solutions. Experience in architecting and implementing hybrid-cloud will be an advantage
• Experience or good knowledge in implementing ITIL framework for IT Operations
