Job Description

The Manager, you will be partner with the business units by taking a proactive and consultative approach in strategic solutions such as in performance management, industrial relations, talent management & development and retention. You will specifically be focused on the full cycle of training & development, TNA, IR, staff engagement, WSH as well as handle related administration. You will play an important role in ensuring healthy team while partnering operating team to provide resourcing needs and to maintain strong working relationship.

The Job:

  • Assist Senior Manager in full spectrum of HR & Training functions including but not limited to training & development, union industrial relations, employees’ engagement & relations, compensation & benefits and supporting recruitment & selection.
  • Liaise with NTUC, BATU on Industrial Relations Matters, CA negotiation and compliance
  • Involved in conducting counselling, disciplinary and/or termination meetings with employees
  • Assist with the investigations of complaints of discrimination and/or harassment, makes recommendations and implements corrective action where necessary
  • Oversee annual performance exercise and other relevant compensation items based on policy guidelines and staff's eligibility in accordance to their performance & employment terms
  • Liaise with MOM and other Government Agencies such as WSG, SSG, NEA, e2i etc
  • Collaborate with EHS Team on environmental health and safety matters and industrial accident investigations and reporting to MOM
  • Lead a team of trainers on operational training needs and Explore new methodology / Technology to improve training effectiveness
  • Conduct training analysis and recommendation to improve the efficiency of resource allocation and training effectiveness
  • Oversee and process all Applications for Funding and Grants support from relevant agency
  • Any Others as directed by Senior Manager and Senior Management

Skills and Competencies

· Good knowledge of local Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, FWEA & WSH Act

· Good knowledge of training analysis and development and OJT framework

· Software Knowledge - Microsoft applications

· Understanding of HR ERP and talent development systems frameworks

· Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels of staff

· Espouse the virtues of truth, integrity, honesty, tolerance, professionalism


· A Degree in human resource or equivalent

· At least 5 years of relevant hands-on HR & Training experience

· Preferably ACTA and or DACE certified
