The role: Marketing Finance Analyst, Product - Singapore

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

Additional Role Description:

The Marketing Finance team in the APAC region creates financial insights to help management make informed, strategic marketing investments across the company. We solve complex business problems to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and guide resources. Our impact is fueled by an ability to action, a grounding in hard data, courage in advocacy, and a willingness to put the team before the individual.

In this role, you will focus on a Google product area (such as Google Ads, Search, etc.). Using your technical and analytical prowess and guided by your astute business acumen, you will develop analyses and insights to help our business partners understand the value of marketing initiatives and provide recommendations to shape their decisions. Our business partners are leaders across Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Product.

You will report into the Finance function and work on a combination of both strategic and operational projects. You will focus on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.


- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic product plans in the APAC region.

- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, derive insights, and develop high-impact recommendations for business leaders.

- Develop tools and data infrastructure to explain spending activity and effectiveness across different initiatives to a range of audiences.

- Design, implement, and maintain good governance processes for managing expenditures and risk.

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.

- 3 years of experience in an analytical environment such as financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, investment banking, or other.

- Experience with SQL and/or R, Python.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level, and building relationships with executive stakeholders.

- Experience achieving and exceeding goals.

- Experience with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

- Understanding of marketing measurement methods, fundamental corporate finance principles, and general accounting concepts.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

- Excellent problem solving, project management, communication, facilitation, organizational, detail-oriented, and strategic thinking skills.
