Job Description

The Scrum Master / Project Administrator role is responsible for helping the organization understand Agile theory and practice, both within the SRE and Application Integration teams. This role is also is accountable for the team’s effectiveness. This is done by enabling the team to improve its practices, within the Scrum framework. This role will also dual-function as a project manager for mission-critical projects and deliverables within the RT organization. This role is expected to:

As a scrum master:

  • Coach the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
  • Help the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done
  • Remove impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress
  • Ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
  • Help find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
  • Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed
  • Lead, train, and coach the organization in its Scrum adoption
  • Plan and advise Scrum implementations within the organization
  • Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
  • Remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams

As a project administrator:

  • Track and report progress, resource scheduling, budget (time, money, and resource), risks, issues and blockers
  • Organize and schedule product/feature release announcements, technical discussions with business units
  • Provide a detailed project delivery plan with risks, resource allocations and budget forecast. Coordinate information and effort between RT, vendor, and 3rd party participants
  • Proofread, organize, maintain, and manage RT team’s documentation platform (e.g. Confluence)


  • 5 to 7 years of project management / Agile / Scrum master experience
  • Expertise in JIRA and Confluence. Experience in Trello or other agile boards are welcome
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project and Visio, Powerpoint
  • Solid understanding and background in computer science and programming – e.g. python, terraform, ansible, compute, databases, service bus, etc
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers – e.g. Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS
  • Personable, but not afraid of conflict. Ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully
  • SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum master or other related certifications is a plus
