Business
FM PSS is responsible for providing 24*7 user and production support for all Financial Markets Front and Back Office applications in Standard Chartered Bank. The ECOM PSS team is responsible for providing 24*7 support to financial market users located globally. The team supports approximately 40+ applications which provide a platform for trade booking & risk management.
Processes
We are looking for a candidate for providing application support for the bank’s strategic Financial Market platform who can face off business and meet their demands (trading and sales) and expectations. The candidate should have prior front office experience supporting similar applications and has strong technical and communication skills. The candidate should be adept in prioritizing and judging the nature of the issues and able to context switch between issues and is able to address and resolve them.
Risk Management
Support primary for eCommerce Applications
Work closely with the trading desks to assist in pricing, pre deal checks and credit checks
Manage open risks and audit points through to closure.
Perform risk reviews of the environment and raise new risks where/when applicable.
Governance
Stakeholder management with Trading, eSales, Middle Office, Product Control, Development and Infrastructure teams.
Put forward ideas to improve automation and/or efficiency and own through to implementation.
Drive development teams for application enhancements to improve supportability of the platform.
Participate in the bank wide DR tests and FM PSS monthly DR Failovers.

Ability to resolve recurring incidents through problem management.
Prior experience in release/change management would be an added advantage.
Flexible to cover different time zones and to work on weekends.

People and Talent
Industry experience in Electronic Trading Systems utilized in Investment Banking with a broad understanding of Order flows, Market Data and Market Connectivity
In-dept knowledge of Linux and networking concepts
Good knowledge of co-located data centre environments
Scripting languages: Shell and Python are mandatory
Familiarity with Ansible, Rundeck, and Git
Prior experience in managing and configuration of tools like Geneos and Corvil .
Experience with log analysis platforms such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Sumo Logic
Experience using Grafana or Tableau for BI dashboards and visualization preferred
A high impact individual with deep technology background and the ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with engineers and executives alike
A team player with a passion for building a culture of innovation and flawless execution
Ability to work in independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapid delivery environment
Our Ideal Candidate
Experience in eFX Application Support.
Candidate should possess strong KDB skill or prior experience in supporting electronic trading platform.
Strong functional knowledge of Financial Rates productions like Bonds, Treasuries etc.
Strong shell/Perl / Python scripting skills. Ability to automate manual task and seek continuous improvement in support performance
Good understanding in infrastructure setup, O/s memory management, capacity review
Good understanding in networking concepts and ability to trouble shoot and understand latency issues
Ability to drive incident bridges by involving all the relevant parties and progressing the issues / outages to closure
Complete understanding of end to end trade lifecycle
Very good knowledge of ITRS Geneos / Oracle SQL / KDB
Ability to own and drive small/ad-hoc project work and deliver to its closure
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills
Self starter, able to self manage with strong collaboration skills and able to interact effectively with others.
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and deliver.
