Senior Technical Consultant, TCIB (Temenos WealthSuite)

As a Senior Technical Consultant, Temenos Connect Internet Banking (TCIB), you will acquire first-hand consulting experience in the banking industry, build knowledge on a wide range of companies, and apply project management best practices in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment. As we carry out all projects at the clients’ premises, you will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. Responsibilities:

• Analysis on the needs and issues of the client through interviews and workshops
• High involvement in grooming and planning session, highlighting potential risks to the project
• Parameterize software/systems, including business modules
• Design and develop code bases based on business requirements presented
• Ensure minimum defects in all phases of testing for delivered code bases
• Provide support to SIT, UAT, cutover and post go-live activities including testing, development and package deployment
• Document the project into systems and processes for management review
• Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking
• Independently drive the success of a work stream by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely submission
• Manage a team of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and through mentorship
• Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to translate their requirements into well formulated solutions

• Participate in business development activities including topic development, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and contract negotiation

Requirements:

• Degree holder
• 5-7 years of development and delivery experience in Temenos WealthSuite’s TCIB or Digital Front Office System implementations
• Proven experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g Java, SQL, Shell script)
• Proven experience with databases (e.g Oracle) and application servers (e.g JBoss)
• Familiarity with distributed version-control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket
• Experience in designing and developing system interfaces to various applications, familiarity with connecting to data provider APIs, including data interchange formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON
• Proven experience in processing functional specifications, writing and/or development of technical specifications
• In-depth understanding of core banking processes and products in the private banking industry
• Experience with Agile projects and SDLC, together with the relevant Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within management consulting, banks or technology firms
• Past experience at a financial organization which uses Temenos products
