Job Description

AAM Advisory (AAM) is an award-winning wealth management firm in Singapore with over 5,000 clients and more than SGD 1 billion of assets under advisement (AUA). Located in the heart of the Central Business District at CapitaGreen, AAM has a team of experienced Wealth Managers, all of whom are authorized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Main purpose of role

To provide advice and services, working with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Scope of role Responsibilities

  • To act as clients’ principal wealth manager and adviser providing support and education on all financial matters, providing the necessary advice, guidance and reassurance to them in achieving their longer-term financial goals
  • Work with other professionals, ensuring the clients’ plans are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Develop individual client strategies and plans aligned to their specific goals and objectives
  • Work closely with a team of administrators ensuring all recommendations, client records and management information is maintained and up to date
  • To maintain currently levels of business ensuring customers are given the level of service as identified during their initial or review meetings
  • Ensure that opportunities for new business are identified and followed up
  • Advise clients on appropriate products and services aligned to their needs
  • Share best practices with other wealth managers across the business
  • Stay up to date and ahead of industry trends and where practical share these with other wealth managers to ensure the business is at the forefront of the market
  • Ensure competency is achieved and maintained across the advice and services processes

Qualifications required 

  • Minimum of a full A-Level Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS) Examination – M5, M8, M8A, M9, M9A and Health Insurance isrequired. Any other relevant financial planning courses will beconsidered as an advantage

Experience required 

  • Financial services experience essential
  • Commercially astute with excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage and influence
  • Confidence, drive, energy, resilience and tenacity to deliver success in a challenging business environment.

Key Function Holder 

  • To ensure competency is achieved in all aspects of the role and to behave in a manner that is compliant with MAS and regulatory practice
  • Follow the AAM client advice process ensuring competent, consistent and compliant delivery at all times
  • Ensure compliance with the AAM Fit and Proper process
  • Ensure compliance with the AAM Continuous Professional Development (CPD) process
