As an MOM Housing Officer, you will engage dormitory operators, foreign workers and employers on a regular basis. You will understand the operations of dormitories and work with dormitory operators to diagnose management gaps and put in place measures to raise standards. You will inspect foreign worker residences to understand their living conditions and concerns of the foreign workers. You will enforce against poor living conditions to deter errant employers. In the immediate future, you will also be part of the team that implements strategies to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus within the dormitories.
In addition to foreign worker housing work, you will also have the opportunities to build expertise through cross divisional postings within MOM to grow yourself professionally in the enforcement role.
What are we looking for?
You should have:
- Strong investigative acumen to analyse various aspects of a case and deal with the root of the problem
- Strong analytical skills and conceptual abilities
- Effective written and communication skills
- Be prepared for shift work/weekend duties when there is an organizational need
It will be good if you have:
- Experience in enforcement and investigation
- A valid Class 3/3A driving license
