Job Description

The Government Infrastructure Group (GIG) is responsible for providing the ICT Infrastructure where the whole government will rely on for its digitalization effort and smart nation initiatives. The infrastructure layer covers the data centres, networks, cloud and endpoints. The modernization of the infrastructure and related services are underway and further efforts will be required to drive the adoption of advanced technologies to bring greater value to the Government.

As a Manager (Infrastructure & Operations), you will be managing large scale ICT vendors providing services to government agencies. What to Expect:

  • Manage multiple vendors that provide support services to all Singapore government agencies, in ensuring delivery of contractual deliverables

  • Establish and review procedures and processes to govern the provisioning of IT services by the vendors

  • Conduct audits on contractor’s premises and IT supporting infrastructure

  • Conduct reviews on architecture, capacity of infrastructure, vendors’ performance and SLA

  • Work with the vendors on service improvement plan

  • Review the design of the vendors’ premises and IT supporting infrastructure to ensure compliance with policies and meeting of contract requirement

  • Project manage to ensure the implementation of vendors’ premises and supporting infrastructure to meet the project milestones.

  • Work with internal project teams, vendors and management to ensure a successful implementation.

  • Conduct briefings to agencies on new ATFM services, changes and decommissioning of ATFM services.

  • Review deployment plan for new central EUCD and hosting services to ensure support by the ATFM service vendors.

  • Participate and contribute in new central service or enhancement projects.

How to Succeed:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related disciplines

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in vendor management and IT service management, to manage vendor in meeting contract deliverables, compliance with policies and service improvement

  • Technical skills and proven experience in a wide spectrum of IT infrastructure and technologies, in at least three of the following:

    • Monitoring system i.e. Solarwind, BMC, NetScout

    • IT Service Management system i.e. ServiceNow, BMC

    • Server & storage platform i.e. EMC, Hitachi, VMWare, Microsoft

    • Privileged account management ie. CyberArk, CA Privileged Identity Manager

    • Log management system ie. ArcSight

    • Basic technical knowledge in Cloud Services i.e. Google, AWS and Azure

    • Security knowledge in securing both logical (access rights) and physical infrastructure (data centre)

  • Project management skills with proven experience to manage a project plan, track milestones, identify dependencies and consistently complete the project on time and within budget
  • Proactive, dynamic and constantly seek to innovate and improve the IT delivery from the vendors
  • Good written and verbal communication
