Job Description


  • Operate Singapore‚Äôs one and only aquarium that is home to more than 100,000 marine animals of over 1,000 species, as well as champion the well-being of most fascinating marine mammals in Dolphin Island.
  • Lead and direct all operational aspects of the iconic attractions including animal health, curatorial, education, conservation and exhibit development.
  • Manage a diverse collection of marine animals, acquisitions, husbandry, animal exhibits and associated programmes and contents.
  • Collaborate with the RWS 2.0 project team to transform S.E.A. Aquarium into Singapore Oceanarium that will see more than three times expansion of its current size.
  • Foster partnerships with like-minded organisations, facilities and communities to drive research projects that are aligned to the goals of S.E.A. Aquarium / Singapore Oceanarium.
  • Generate creative content and teaching aids to promote and educate young generation about marine conservation.
  • Uphold the highest standards of veterinary care that aligned with Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) and World Association of Zoos & Acquariums (WAZA).
  • Supervise and develop a highly motivated and effective team of supervisors, managers and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, business processes and all applicable health, safety and risk management practices as well as governing regulations.
  • Evaluate competitive business and market landscapes, and work with the cross-functional teams to identify commercial opportunities and make strategic decisions that will create value, maximize revenue and generate sustainable growth.


  • Degree in biological/marine/environmental sciences, business, hospitality management, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in an aquarium or zoological facility, with 8 years at management level.
  • Strong understanding of international animal welfare standards and well connected with the zoological and aquarium institutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse personnel.
  • Business-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance commercial and operations in decision making.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet dynamic demands.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to work through issues and provide solutions in a challenging and fast paced environment.
