Enterprise Singapore’s Corporate Communications Division plays an important role in shaping the perception of the organisation as the lead agency that grows stronger enterprises, develops Singapore as a leading global trading hub, and builds trust in Singapore enterprises, products and services through quality and standards.
As part of the Corporate Communications Division, this media officer position is one where the individual will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategic communications for the organisation, as well as communications plans for other markets or industries. The role also looks at stakeholder management both internally and externally.
The candidate will need to plan and innovatively engage the target audience on multiple media channels through communication efforts such as story pitching, media releases and more. You will also work with the marcomms and digital content team to synergise efforts to achieve maximum publicity. This to is especially important given the wide scope of Enterprise Singapore’s work which cuts across various sectors and markets. The goal is to understand and present the key messages and initiatives in a clear, convincing and timely manner, and leverage key stakeholders as advocates. As the media landscape is constantly evolving, this requires lateral thinking and a good grasp of trends and broader issues, in order to align Enterprise Singapore’s comms strategy with these changes.
You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations, particularly in strategic communications and stakeholder management. You should be experienced in corporate messaging, developing communication plans, and possess a creative mind for story angles, excellent writing and media pitching skills. You will also need to be results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, as well as be a team player. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin or Malay is advantageous.
