Job Description

1. Job Responsibilities

· Identify legal issues and risks related to company or projects and collaborate with stakeholders to propose alternative solutions, mitigate risks, and resolve legal issues

· Provide legal analysis and advice to management/staff on matters including contract law, pharmaceutical laws and compliance, competition law, data protection, employment, disputes, and general risk management

· Effectively manage the use of external counsel to provide legal services to Prestige Biopharma when issue is complex or specific technical expertise is required.

· Draft and negotiate legal agreements for distribution, promotion and marketing, manufacturing, service, sale and purchase, termination, and settlement

· Develop and maintain Prestige Biopharma standard contract terms and contract templates

· Monitor key legal requirements and regulatory developments in the pharmaceutical industry and provide training to company management/staff

· Develop strategy in response to the BPCIA “patent dance” process for each biosimilar under development

· Alignment of licensing contract

· Management of Patent / Trademark

· Oversees corporate secretarial matters

· Other duties upon request

2. Job Requirements


· Law degree with a reputable university

· Good understanding of contract, corporate and commercial law, and experience with intellectual property matters (protection of trade secrets, patents, and trademarks)

· Knowledge of personal data protection and competition law matters is a plus

Skills & Experience:

· 5 or more years prior work experience in reputable law firm and as in-house counsel in a commercial organization.

· Bar admission in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction

· In-house legal experience in the life science / pharmaceutical industry is preferred

· Excellent written and spoken English

· Computer skills (MS Office, Teams, Share Point)

· Meticulous and attention to details

· Work effectively both independently and in teams

· Good written and oral communication and influencing skills

· Demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and integrity
