R&D Technician

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and generate ideas to the R&D project for product design solutions and process possibilities and equipment options
• Support the product development and verification testing
• Conduct building of test samples and feedbacks to the engineers on possible product and process improvements
• Support the development of processes and its capability testing
• Document and report all activities according to the quality system
• Support the project team to replenish production auxiliary materials and tools in the respective workstations
• Participate and execute preventive maintenance and calibration activities for production and measuring equipment
• Ensure R&D lab and work stations are in excellent housekeeping conditions
• Collaborate with engineers and production in continuous process improvement projects
• Maintain and build up relationships with local vendors
• Train and educate operators, technicians and other engineers
• Support operator training
• Able to perform shift work as and when necessary

Requirements:

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in any Engineering discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant experiences, in medical device, pharmaceutical or semiconductor industries
• Technical experience in Electronics/Manufacturing environment including automation
• Experience in LSR and plastic molding will be considered as an advantage
• Ability to work with machine tools (milling machine, lathe, drilling machine) is an advantage
• Experience working in project environment with good problem solving skills
• Meticulous, responsible, flexible, independent and customer oriented
