We also contribute our technological expertise to support national-level developments. To achieve our mission, DSTA performs a variety of roles ranging from acquisition and procurement to cybersecurity and software development.


We are looking for an individual to join us in our Business System and Process Improvement (S&I) team to provide support in areas such as analysing business problems and needs in order to define and deploy digital solutions to improve or transform business processes.

The role will require you to :

  • Scope, interpret and manage business requirements
  • Drive initiatives through the application of human-centric tools and techniques, including planning, designing and facilitation of workshops, business process / user journey mapping, identify challenges and opportunities
  • Prioritise product backlog through rigorous information gathering and analysis with stakeholders
  • Evaluate and recommend digital solutions that best address the needs
  • Analyse impact of requested changes
  • Work with technical teams to understand and troubleshoot technical problems, as needed
  • Undertake root cause analysis for problems in order to implement preventive and corrective measures to meet business and performance needs
  • Undertake change management


  • Tertiary Qualification
  • Pro-active, resourceful and self-motivated to innovate and take smart risks to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction
  • Able to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges
  • Able to facilitate discussions/workshops to elicit, manage and prioritise key business needs
  • A team player with strong influencing and people handling skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders

Advantageous To Have

  • User Experience, Business Analysis, Business Process Re-engineering experiences, certification or similar
  • IT vendor management experience
