Job Description

GovTech is seeking for a seasoned engagement manager to support the product architecture and management of CODEX (Core Operations Development Environment and xChange) platform. CODEX is a strategic national project and the CODEX platform presents a huge opportunity to rationalise and consolidate a federated agency hosting and infrastructure through modern cloud architecture implementation and the modernising of Government applications through adoption of agile development practices.

The role is expected to leverage and work closely with both product management team and client stakeholders to understand the customer pain points and market the Singapore Tech Stack (SGTS) and Government Commercial cloud (GCC) to deliver a unified tech stack value proposition. Establish deep collaboration with the product development groups and play an active role in articulating the product roadmap and value proposition for CODEX. Particularly, this role will focus on effective marketing to the client stakeholder group to increase uptake and effective use of CODEX product suite.

The incumbent is expected to keep abreast of product marketing management methods and share best practice across the product management team within CODEX.

What to Expect:

  • Develop messaging that clearly articulate value, benefit and differentiation of CODEX product suite
  • Communicate the CODEX products value proposition to the senior and middle management group within Govtech
  • Partner with the Govtech service team to launch CODEX products and enhancements
  • Drive adoption of the new CODEX products through awareness and training
  • Collect and centralize customer feedback beyond product improvements to better understand the asks and needs of the clients
  • Partner with related business engagement team to scale up the product marketing efforts
  • Continuously refine and improve messaging based on actual customer use experience
  • Partner across Govtech teams to drive devops culture
  • Live the CODEX vision and sharing that with key stakeholders

How to Succeed:

A proven product marketing leader with a track record of communicating and launching products across a very diverse and large community. Possess product marketing management functional competence and strong acumen, with the ability to balance proactive, strategic thinking with crisp execution and delivery. Critical competencies required but are not limited to:
  • Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Marketing or equivalent
  • Good understanding the development ecosystem as well as the cloud provider ecosystem, particularly in continuous integration/delivery, containers, observability, and middleware
  • Strong storytelling capability and ability to translate the stories to presentations and internal documentation
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with multiple stakeholders and leverage their capabilities to deliver consistent messaging at scale
  • Experience in building deep client relationships at various levels, and communicating the marketing message
  • Engaging communicator with experience in narrating and articulating the value proposition with different types of stakeholders, e.g., management, developer
  • Excellent listening capability to understand feedback in depth and ability probe the right questions to find out the underlying needs and concerns
  • Experience in conducting workshop and trainings
  • Business acumen to understand different business to customer models
  • Strong analytical skills to compare marketing messaging and on-ground reality
  • Plus if there is past experience in agile software development, including experience in some of the relevant areas such as CI/CD, Devops, Microservice, TDD/BDD, cloud computing
