Job Description

The Government Infrastructure Group (GIG) is responsible for providing the ICT Infrastructure where the whole government will rely on for its digitalization effort and smart nation initiatives. The infrastructure layer covers the data centers, networks, cloud and endpoints. The modernization of the infrastructure and related services are underway and further efforts will be required to drive the adoption of advanced technologies to bring greater value to the country.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget. This involves set deadlines, monitor the progress of project and regulate any issues or discrepancies arising before the problem escalates. What to Expect:

  • Manage assigned projects and ensure that they meet the objectives, timeline and budget

  • Support the project team in their procurement of products and services, including preparing and documenting requirements, seek the relevant procurement approvals, evaluation and award of contract

  • Track project performance and develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track status

  • Report and escalate project risks or issues to stakeholders

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


How to Succeed:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or related disciplines
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in vendor management and contract management, including procurement processes and policies, writing procurement and approval papers, RFQ and ITT; Minimum 2 years of experience in managing IT projects
  • Familiar with Public Sector processes and policies
  • Have relevant certification in ITIL or Project Management
  • Proven track record showing the ability to take pressure and multi-task in handling concurrent projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated¬†ability to influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences and senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, team interaction/effectiveness, proactive, analytical and decision making skills
