Job Description

Purpose of job:

As a AD Application Services 2, you will lead a team of business analysts and project managers to conceptualise, manage and maintain IT application systems.

The candidate should be a decisive and driven leader, who takes a proactive approach to managing business transformation, applications system development and operations, IT governance and performance management, stakeholder engagement, people development and vendor management. This entails engaging stakeholders and managing a team of IT proessionals to transform STB buisness processes through the innovative use of IT. This also includes managing the development and maintenance of a portfolio of IT application systems, implementing proper governance processes and managing business partners and contracts. Success in the role will be demonstrated by your ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Involved in the transformation of business processes through the innovative use of IT so as to bring about impactful changes to STB
  2. Involved in developing strategic IT plans to service as blueprint for IT development
  3. Lead a team of business analysts and project managers in the effective delivery of IT application services from project conceptualisation to operations, to meet the buinsess needs of STB
  4. Lead and manage procurement of IT products and services, as well as management of vendor services and contracts, to ensure IT services are delivered on time, wihtin budget and meets business requirements
  5. Proactively engage stakeholders and partners so as to influence the alignment of strategies the alignment of strategies and directions, manage expectatons and achieve customer satisfaction
  6. Lead the development and compliance to policies and standards to ensure proper governance, financial and performance management
  7. Lead, coach and develop staff to sustain high performance teams to achieve organisational objectives

Experience:

  • MinimumĀ 8 yearsĀ of relevant IT experience, including minimum 4 years' experience in leading IT application projects and managing project teams
  • Proven leadership skills including strong people management skills, stakeholder engagement skills and vendor management skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation, problem solving and project management skills
  • Good written, vernal communication and negotiation skills
  • An adaptable and bold individual who dares to try new things and take smart risks
  • Motivated by innovation to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction
