Synthesis is looking for a Strategist to join our team. The role would suit a recent graduate or experienced brand insight strategist. Korean language fluency and an interest in brands and Korean pop-culture is a must.

Job Description

  • Get immersed in the digital landscape of key Asian and global markets, esp for Korea
  • Assist our data scientists with cultural and contextual inputs about these markets as they optimise our algorithms and frameworks for new geographies and languages
  • Working alongside a senior analyst team, help identify new and emergent themes and trends about media content, beauty, food and technology
  • Gain exposure to working with famous brands and MNCs


  • Fluency in Korean (native level) and English
  • Good knowledge of Korean popular culture e.g. beauty, food, music, TV/film/content, gaming
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms – Korean, Asian and global
  • Strong analytical skills: able to read quickly, identify themes, dissect concepts and theories
  • Passionate about people and cultures, why they behave as they do, what drives and motivates them individually and collectively
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Confident and persuasive presenter, able to think on your feet, problem solve

Advantageous, but not required:

  • A background in literature, sociology, psychology, marketing or business is an advantage
  • Knowledge of quantitative, statistical and qualitative research techniques and analysis
