Cyber Security Engineer

Job Role/Function

The Cyber Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for configuring, operating, and measuring all client security systems. This role is responsible to gather the necessary security intelligence, ensure the correlation of that intelligence with systems, analyze the resulting threat from the relevant information and then formulate actionable responses and threat mitigation to ensure the protection of company’s systems, information and brand. This role reports to the Director of Cyber Security.

Job Responsibilities / Functional Requirements:

• Design, analyze, implement and test cyber security-related systems
• Design, develop, implement, and integrate security systems and systemcomponents to 
include computing, networking, and enclave environments
• Perform detailed analysis in support of OS and Application level vulnerabilities
• Perform security hardware and software Asset Management
• Establish and maintain a systems lab for testing, evaluation and virtualization
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications, including 
emerging technologies
• Provide technical support (including on-call as required) to evaluate problems and provide 
technical solutions for a 24x7 environment
• Participate in meetings, focus groups and configuration boards to ensure client business 
needs are met
• Research, evaluate, recommend, design, test, implement and maintain new security 
monitoring systems
• Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and 
enhancements of existing systems
• Prepare functional specifications from which systems will be procured and implemented
• Participate in technical design reviews, system integration testing, load testing, and provide 
assistance during user acceptance testing
• Prepare and maintain technical user guides, standard operating procedures, 
systems/network documentation and diagram

Key Qualifications / Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent
• CISSP, CCNA or Certification in Information Technology Security field has an advantage
• Relevant work experience (3~5 years) in cyber security related field preferred
• Good working experience on Networking
o WEBSecurity, Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus
o Anti Virus/spyware, HostbaseIPS, DLP
o SIEM,Securitymanagement
• Excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
