Job Description

You lead and drive the development of cyber defence strategies, policies, operations and plans to ensure the operational readiness and ability of the Republic of Singapore Navy(RSN)’s cyber defence. On this, you ensure C4 (Command, Control, Communications and Computers) systems’ cyber security components meet the required security standards. Other than overseeing the governance and management of OSIT and cyber resources in RSN, you oversee the development of a cyber-defence audit plan and an interrelated plan on how the department can raise, train, and sustain cyber defence audit teams. You are also responsible for strengthening cybersecurity and hygiene awareness through education and training. Your challenges lies in seamlessly integrating cyber security measures into existing systems, creating buy-in for enhanced cyber security measures, and promoting cyber security awareness and protection.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in computer science, information systems, cyber security or a related field with at least 10 years’ work experience in information technology, of which five years of experience are in information security and/or information assurance related areas. Possession of professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Certifications (GSECGCIH/GCIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and etc is essential. You should also possess sound technical knowledge and exposure/experience in commercial best practices in order to orchestrate cyber defence efforts and experience in Security Operations Centre processes or similar large-scale system development. On top of the technical expertise, you should also have good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills to lead a team and also to work with MINDEF agencies and industrial partners such as DSTA, DSO, Institute of higher learning (IHL) and cyber security vendors.
