As a DevOps engineer, your duties and responsibilities focus on implementing DevOps practices and tools to make the development process more efficient and cost-effective.

Your duties and responsibilities include assessing the current plans and practices of both Ufinity and the Client and then work with the team to setup and implement the Infra and DevOps CI/CD pipeline for the project team. You will be required to work closely with our DevOps Consultant, development team and client’s infra team to achieve the objectives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

  • Creating and managing the roadmap and implementation of DevOps for our client’s projects;
  • Build continuous integration & delivery pipelines for applications in an agile development environment;
  • Deliver infrastructure design, build and deployment activities;
  • Support the project team to provision and manage development infrastructure such as virtual servers, storage, network;
  • Working effectively with customer and development teams;
  • Supporting the ongoing growth of our organisation’s DevOps strategies as require

Key Technical Skills required, include but not limited to:

  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment techniques, approaches and tools, including experience with some of the following tools: Bamboo, Nexus, Code Deploy;
  • Knowledgeable with cloud providers and their services (e.g. GCC AWS);
  • Experienced in:
    • Source code systems and branching strategies (e.g. GitLab, Bitbucket)
    • Containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Infrastructure provisioning (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
    • Unix shell scripting

Good to have:

  • Programming Languages (e.g. Java, Javascript, Python)
  • Code Quality & Vulnerability Analysis (e.g. SonarQube, Fortify)
  • Application monitoring (Graylog, Zipkin, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
  • Issue and bug tracking and wiki documentation (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience with Windows shell scripting
