Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in School-Wide Operation of Audio-Visual Facilities

  • Provide AV technical support to staff to facilitate the delivery of lessons, CCA, exams, meetings and at school events and functions
  • Set-up AV facilities in rooms and venues for lectures, exams, school events and functions
  • Set-up and perform live streaming and video-conferencing
  • Plan and implement sound integrative AV operating procedures in the school
  • Provide technical advice in terms of AV equipment and related software that the school can purchase to support teaching and learning, exams, events and functions
  • Work closely with ICT team (e.g. ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers) on AV requirements and support required by staff, student, AVA Club (CCA)
  • Provide training for staff and students on the use of AV facilities

Maintenance and Management of AV Equipment and Inventory

  • Perform servicing and repair for AV equipment
  • Maintain usage and service records of AV equipment, and replacement of AV equipment in rooms and venues (e.g. auditorium and halls)
  • Manage loans of AV equipment via school standardised loan procedures
  • Perform asset checks of AV equipment
  • Work closely with HOD ICT and ICT Associate in sourcing for procurements, monitoring expenses and budget for costs incurred as part of maintenance and/or replacement

Support Teaching and Learning

  • Provide multimedia support (e.g. photography, video production, live-streaming etc.) to facilitate the delivery of lessons and events, and support administration tasks for teaching and learning (e.g. burning CDROMs for listening comprehension, printing of media resources etc.)
  • Provide in-class support to teachers implementing ICT integrated lessons (e.g. navigate and troubleshoot apps and productivity tools in class for teachers and students)
  • Provide technical advice in terms of multimedia hardware and software that the school can purchase to support the teaching and learning in curricular and co-curricular areas
  • Integrate new and existing IT affordances to enhance teaching and learning
  • Proficient at administering Google Classroom environment for school
  • Able to provide Google Suite for Education support to school (staff and students) in troubleshooting and training

Assist in Multimedia Production and Training

  • Provide videography/photography/live-streaming/video-conferencing support for coverage of school events and functions
  • Provide editing and post-production works using software e.g. Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects
  • Plan and implement CCA training e.g. on Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator), photography and videography
  • Provide basic multimedia and ICT training (e.g. digital literacy on use of Microsoft Office, block programming) for all staff and students
  • Work closely with ICT team (e.g. ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers) on multimedia requirements and support required by staff and students

Management of Multimedia Equipment and Inventory

Other Duties

  • Maintain and update school website
  • Project management of commissioned school works on AV facilities, including planning, liaising and coordination between various stakeholders (e.g. vendors, school users etc.)
  • Other duties pertaining to the area of multimedia (e.g. provide digital drawings of maps) when assigned by School Leaders, HOD/ICT, ICT Associate and CCA (e.g. AV or Info-com) teacher-in-charge
  • Other duties pertaining to the area of AV (e.g. trouble-shooting of PA system) when assigned by School Leaders, HOD/ICT, ICT Associate and AVA Club teacher-in-charge

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of a Diploma
  • Proposed candidate must be registered with Ministry of Education (MOE)
  • At least 2 years of working experience as an AV Executive/ Multimedia Specialist or equivalent
  • IT-savvy and possess good computer skills
  • Have knowledge and be able to troubleshoot and provide advice for AV Systems, Multimedia and photo editing software and coding software.
  • Experience in Google Suite for Education
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining and updating websites
  • Experience in training students in a school environment
