Job Description

You review, update and implement MINDEF/SAF’s Data Management policies, standards and guidelines to support the Public Sector Data Security Review Committee’s recommendations on strengthening data governance in areas of protection and privacy. You assess Privacy/Personal Data Loss risks and non-cyber related breaches and advise business owners on business process re-engineering and change management projects to ensure MINDEF/SAF’s compliance with applicable personal data protection and privacy regulations by Whole-of-Government (WoG) and mitigate privacy risks. You also conduct programmes to increase MINDEF/SAF personnel’s competencies and capabilities in Data Protection and Privacy. Your challenge lies with keeping abreast on the dynamic and constantly evolving privacy concerns, as well as coordinating, engaging, and convincing multiple stakeholders across different agencies to embrace data management and protection.

You must have tertiary qualifications, with preferably 2 years of working experience in governance/data privacy and protection. You must be able to analyse legislative requirements and translate these to organisational practices and solutions. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to engage with multiple stakeholders, strong critical thinking and analytical abilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
