You review and update MINDEF/SAF’s data security standards and protection measures that support the Public Sector Data Security goals. You support and participate in the development of plans for implementation of technical measures in required systems and ensure that they are aligned with the regulatory compliance requirements. You evaluate, review, develop, and implement the data security risk assessment framework to support sharing and use of data, as well as digitalisation in MINDEF/SAF, and guide project teams in the assessment of data sensitivity in the systems to strengthen organisational data security posture against data security threats. You also research and study the latest data security threats, identify and recommend potential technologies updates/enhancements to existing government data security solutions to mitigate data security risks. Your challenge lies with engaging key stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and develop well-balanced positions of the technologies to address them, as well as address escalated issues or conflicts to ensure MINDEF/SAF’s interests are protected and furthered.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering related disciplines. Possession of cyber-security related qualification/certification is advantageous. You must be able to work independently, as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as project management skills are essential.
