Senior Robotics Engineer

Description

• Design and build highly scalable, performant cloud-based applications that interface with mobile robots, cloud infrastructure, and other micro-services.
• Deliver new application features related to safe teleoperation of robots, for example for connect robots and remote operators and for enabling sensor streams and transport of commands.
• From a description of a teleoperation control algorithm, implement, debug and characterize the closed loop performance under communication delays.
• Drive the testing, documentation, verification and integration of the system.
• Develop an appealing and easy-to-use design for the user interface.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in web development and/or development of back-end cloud applications.
• Deep technical understanding of topics including distributed systems, networking, low latency/real-time/high availability systems, and video compression.
• Proficiency in at least some of the following tools preferred: Javascript, Python, C++, NodeJS, ExpressJS, Web Sockets, ROS, Docker and Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to present technological concepts coherently to the business and innovation process.
