Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated and energetic candidate for the position of Software Engineer (Backend) to join the Eatigo Team. The ability to work in a fast paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism is crucial to this role. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for the planned delivery of features / tasks on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and have a strong track record of execution and be able to work well independently as well as in a team.


  • Under the direction of the CTO, take ownership of backend related features / tasks
  • Deep, hands-on programming and technical design skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to clearly communicate high level technical strategy and details effectively across departments, locations, and organizations, including to senior leadership
  • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and build a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment. Strategic choice of data structure and algorithms to design and implement the required business logic
  • Work with product team, frontend, mobile, and qa team to ship products incrementally
  • Handle weekly deployments to production environment
  • Work together with Engineering Manager to run weekly grooming sessions
  • Use JIRA as ticket management and must always have focus towards delivery objective as a team


  • BS/MS in Computer Science or other related Degrees
  • Must have experience working with golang, python, dockers, ECS, ES, Lambda, SQS, & other AWS products
  • Must be familiar with CI/CD deployments
  • 3+ years of experience building high-quality consumer-facing solutions
  • Strong understanding of system performance and scaling, demonstrate ability to design, build, and deliver complex, successful web services and/or customer experiences efficiently and with quality
  • Proven team leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to get things done
  • History of effectively working with and growing geo-distributed partner teams
  • Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability
