Software Tester

A Software Tester is responsible to,

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and project team to identify, analyze and review design needs and requirements for estimation of testing scope and time frame
• Develop and establish quality assurance deliverables and testing framework, including create and maintain test plans and test cases in accordance with changing requirements, throughout development
• Conduct extensive manual functional /exploratory testing, including browser testing
• Conduct performance and load tests, validate the output and expected outcomes and feedback on improvement required
• Conduct application performance and security testing to ensure we have a robust and secured system in place
• Conduct impact analysis of defect fixes discovered during manual or automated tests and work with development team to improve the expected behaviour and test cases
• Demonstrate the tested stories during Sprint Review and prepare production show case to show the completed stories tested

Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Computing/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• Minimally 3-5 years of relevant working experience
• Possess relevant software development certifications, e.g. Microsoft Certified Solution Developer for Dynamics or equivalent
• Certified Software Testing Professional and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of waterfall or Agile methodology is preferred
• Demonstrate programming language and knowledge of automated software testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, test driven development (TDD) and behaviour driven development (BDD)
• Strong client and project management abilities coupled with excellent communication, written, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
