Job Description


You will play a significant role as part of the JTC’s digitalisation plan.  You will work in cross-domain team providing technical support during system design, implementation and operation.  Besides, you are also required to handle and improve the operation and maintenance of the data platform across on-premise and cloud environments.

  • Scope out requirements, set system baselines driven by business and security needs; and anticipated growth with cognizance of impact of emerging technology trends on systems.

  • Plan, design and implement systems, platforms, hardware or network, ensuring needs are met, and systems are optimised and integrated with other applications and platforms without compromising security, standards and operations.

  • Review performance, reliability, vulnerability and availability and proactively taking pre-emptive measures to minimize interruptions, developing new alerts and monitoring techniques to improve performance, reliability and security.

  • Provide timely support to users to resolve issues surfaced, trouble shoot and recommend solutions that are effective and optimal.



  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Software/System Engineering, or other related technical fields.

  • At least 2 years of experience in system implementation, administration and maintenance.

  • Good knowledge with hands-on experience in handling Windows and RHEL servers (eg. troubleshooting, hardening).

  • Experience in the following areas will be an added advantage:

    • System architecture

    • HDFS, Kafka, Nifi, MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Spark, Presta, Zeppelin

    • ArcGIS Enterprise

    • Government Commercial Cloud (GCC)

  • Effective presentation, communication and writing skills

  • Strong interest in exploring new technologies to find the best fit for the requirement and be able to work independently
